John Ervin Kennedy 359th
Infantry Reg, HQ Co
John Ervin Kennedy was born March 10, 1925 in Bristow, Oklahoma. He was
drafted into the Army around
9/7/43 right after he married Ruth Loutisha Gilliam. He went to boot
camp in
Camp Fannin, TX & shipped out to
England on D-day. He
served in the
90th Infantry Division, 359th Infantry Reg, HQ Co, 2nd Batallion as a
Wire Team Member. He fought in the
Battle of the Bulge at
Ardennes. Sadly, he
passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 in Reseda, California after battling lung
cancer for 20 months.
